Pakistan IFCR sprang into life on 23 April, 2004 when the North Region of District 3270 played against the South Region as a preliminary to the annual district conference.

The Karachi Gymkhana Cricket Ground was the setting for this first IFCR cricket match in Pakistan and followed on the successful participation of Pakistani Rotary cricketers in games with Australian and Indian Rotarians in Mumbai and Delhi in February, 2004.

The day was hot (around 30 degrees Celsius), the interest in being involved very great as evidenced by the participation of Rotarians from all over the country and the cricket played was of a good standard.

The day was greatly enhanced by having as chief guest the RI President's Representative to the conference, Oscelik Balkan, a Past District Governor of District 2420 in Turkey.
